About Julie Wardwell

I grew up on the New England coast, shaped by salt air and shoreline, yet something always pulled me across the Atlantic, to the Celtic lands my ancestors knew. To the wild plants, the old healing ways, and a wisdom written into the land itself.

I'm Julie, an Ayurvedic Health Practitioner and founder of Wild Atlantic Healing. My work lives at the crossroads of two healing traditions: Ayurveda and the deep plant knowledge of the Celtic world. A pairing that feels less like a professional choice and more like a homecoming.

For nearly three decades, I've traveled the coastlines and sacred sites of Ireland, Scotland, and Britain, from the shores of Kerry and the Boyne Valley to the Highlands and Outer Hebrides, foraging clifftops and sitting with a place-based knowledge that doesn't live in textbooks. It lives in the land.

At the core of everything I do is one belief: your body evolved alongside the foods, plants, and seasonal rhythms of your ancestral landscape. Healing begins when we return to that relationship.

At Wild Atlantic Healing, I work with Celtic peoples and the vast global diaspora to reconnect with the ancestral foods, plants, and seasonal wisdom that shaped their lineage. Every health plan is deeply personal, woven from your unique constitution, your heritage, and the intelligence of the natural world.

This isn't wellness as trend. It's wellness as remembrance.

Whether you're just beginning to explore your roots or you've been walking this path for years, you've found your way to the right place.

Welcome home.

My Approach to Wellness

The 3 Essential Pillars

I see each person's wellness journey through three intertwining outlooks:

  1. Preventive Wisdom - Catching whispers before they become shouts

  2. Food as Living Medicine - Nourishment that your DNA remembers

  3.  The Sacred Trinity - The inseparable dance of mind, body, and spirit

Like an attentive gardener who knows each plant by its unique needs, I take time to understand your constitutional nature, lived experience, ancestral heritage, and current environment before crafting your personal path to vitality.

My practice bridges ancestral whole foods with Ayurvedic principles—recognizing that your body type speaks a language as old as time. Together, we'll:

  • Rediscover the foods and herbs that once nourished your lineage

  • Cultivate daily rhythms that align with nature's cycles, melting accumulated stress

  • Awaken your body's innate intelligence to prevent illness and nurture profound wellbeing

True health emerges not from following trends, but from remembering who you are and where you come from—a remembering that resonates in your cells.

Begin Your Journey

Are you ready to reclaim the vitality that is your birthright? It is empowering to feel your body energized by the foods and herbs of your ancestral lands.  I'd be honored to guide you back to this ancestral wisdom—adapted for your modern life.
